From a little town of 2,000 that very few people have heard of to a city of 1 million people, that most of the civilized world knows, you may call a small adjustment in and of itself.  Throw in the fact that it is exactly half way around the world from the only place that you have ever known to be home and it becomes change to the nth degree.  Changes that we hope to not only document here but also changes that we choose to share with all of you, our family and friends.  Sit back, enjoy the trip from the comforts of your easy chair and take our notes for what they are--a rambling of days and weeks of the day to day life that we encounter from half way around the world (for most of you at least).
